A Note on the Integral PC V File-Translation Disc 1.2 - GVG - 10 December 1986 This disc contains two sets of utilities to allow a System-V Integral PC to handle files on MS-DOS and LIF discs. The MS-DOS and LIF utilities are typical UNIX utilities; commands are invoked using "dash options" and with file parameters given as "pathnames". Documentation on all utilities are given by manual pages, also contained on this disc. To use one of these utilities with the internal disc drive, copy the desired utility into the root ("/") directory and then follow directions. You will, in general, have to specify the pathname of the disc drive as part of the operations - which would be "/dev/internal" for the internal disc drive, and, for one example, "/dev/D030" for a external HPIB drive. (Note that you must "unmount" LIF discs before trying to access them.) Source code for the MS-DOS utilities is contained in the "msdos_util/source_files" directory - along with a "makefile" to compile the source code properly. NOTE: THESE UTILITIES DO NOT WORK ON THE SYSTEM-III INTEGRAL.
