IPC FORTH Disc GVG / 12 February 1987 Welcome to the IPC FORTH disc! Unfortunately, all I can offer you right now is a welcome ... I'm still doping this thing out myself; eventually I should have this thing fully documented, but, until that time, I must sadly tell you that you are on your own. Some things to help get you started, though: * The "rdforth" and "wrforth" utilities are used to translate FORTH screens to and from something a text editor can understand. * Any standard text on FORTH should do fine as an introduction - Leo Brodie's STARTING FORTH is the best-known, I believe. The README file gives a quick-reference on the exact details of this FIG-FORTH implementation. * The assembler is part of FORTH and is used to fine-tune FORTH routines. The documentation is lousy (even the author - not myself, by the way - admits it) but it will be some time before I can take corrective action. * There are provisions for using IPC Device I/O Library with this implementation of FORTH but the documentation is negligible. Again, someday I'll take corrective action. Sorry to give you half a loaf, but I figured it wiser than waiting until a full loaf was available ...
