Stewed Corn and Tomatoes with Okra

Ingredients

  • 18 scallions, chopped
  • 3 fresh jalapeņo finely chopped, with seeds
  • 3 large green bell pepper, coarsely chopped
  • .25 C salted butter
  • 3 lb tomatoes coarsely chopped
  • 9 C corn (15 to 18 ears)
  • 1.5 lbs small fresh okra, trimmed, keeping stems intact
