Shredded Beef

Makes about 7 cups.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs skirt steak or flank steak cut into 1" cubes
  • 4 small white onion, roughly chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
  • Salt to taste

Procedure

  1. Place the ingredients into a sauce pan, cover with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Simmer covered until tender , about 40 minutes. Do not over cook
  3. Set aside for the meat to cook off in the broth, then strain.
  4. When cool, shred the meat.
