Starting RLogo

First, you need to start RLogo so you can begin telling that turtle what to do.

  • Go to the internet applications and start Netscape Communicator.
  • Next, you need to go to this URL http://www.coho.org/~pete/rlogo The little squiggle character is called a tilde. Look around on your keyboard to find it.
  • Drive that turtle! Click on the buttons and see what the turtle does. Can you make a square? Or a circle? Can you change the color?

In this lesson

For our first lesson, we will learn about angles, distance, and some rules (mathematicians call them theorems) about shapes.
